That is exactly what Alternative Payment Methods (APM) are. In other words, all online payments that are not made with payment cards are called alternative payment methods.<\/p>\n<h2>What Exactly Are Alternative Payment Methods?<\/h2>\n<p>APMs include cryptocurrencies, vouchers, e-wallets, mobile phone payments, etc.<\/p>\n<h2>What Are the Most Commonly Used Alternative Methods?<\/h2>\n<p>The popularity of APMs actually also depends on the country the customers come from. For example, Europe has <strong><em>SEPA<\/em><\/strong> (Single Euro Payment Area), which allows consumers from many European countries to easily make cross-border electronic payments in euros, <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.klarna.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Klarna<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is a system most widespread in Sweden that works on the principle of digital vouchers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.klarna.com\/pay-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Sofort<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is used in Germany, while the Netherlands has <strong><em>Ideal<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>What Are the Pros and Cons of APMs?<\/h2>\n<p>Accepting alternative payment methods has many advantages: since interest in additional payment methods is growing, there is an opportunity to expand into new markets.
